Jay Jahed, keyboardist and composer / Anuryzm

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Jay’s talents were discovered at a very early age when his father brought home a mini casio keyboard. A few bigger keyboards and some other instruments later; Jay enrolled himself in a classic piano school for a few years. At heart he was always drawn to the limitless possibilities of synths infused by classic rock, metal, as well as early digital and experimental music of the 80s and 90s. While launching the music club at his university, he joined his first band, DILEMMA, a progressive metal band that pioneered the genre in Lebanon whose performances at local rock festivals won the band a couple of awards along the way. He also played keys with other major rock acts in town. After moving to the U.A.E, Jay took the role of Keyboardist with the progressive metal outfit ANURYZM and has shared the stage with stellar acts such as Black Sabbath, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nightwish, Epica and Avenged Sevenfold to name a few. With numerous praiseworthy features in the global press from the United States all the way to Japan, Jay hopes to propel ANURYZM's live shows and tours to new heights and opportunities with the freedom of movement and creativity associated with his REVO-1 model. Jay’s passion for prog metal is joined by a big appetite for electronic music, as well as ambient and ethnic music.
